Wobbel Starter Beech Wood Balance Board with No Felt

The Wobbel Starter is a more compact version of the classic Wobbel board, designed for younger children, smaller spaces, and easy portability. Made from FSC certified beech wood and finished without felt, this lightweight board is perfect for carpeted floors or for families who prefer a fully wooden option. Although smaller in size, the Starter is strong, durable, and packed with possibilities, supporting up to 100kg and suitable from birth.

What is a Wobbel Starter Board?

The Wobbel Starter takes the traditional Waldorf balance board concept and reimagines it for little explorers. It has a gentler curve, a slimmer middle, and rounded corners for extra stability and control. These thoughtful design features make it easier for younger children to climb, rock, and manipulate the board themselves. The smaller size invites confident movement from toddlers while still offering endless play potential as they grow.

How children use the Wobbel Starter

• Babies and toddlers practise gentle rocking and climbing
• Young children use it as a bridge, ramp, tunnel, step, or seat
• The compact shape makes it easier for children to move independently
• Older children enjoy balancing challenges, movement play, and imaginative setups

The Wobbel Starter helps children build strength, balance, coordination, and confidence through natural, open-ended play.

Why choose the felt-free version

This version of the Wobbel Starter has no felt backing, making it ideal for:

• Carpeted or soft flooring
• Families who prefer a fully wooden, plastic-free, wool-free design
• Homes where the board may be used outdoors occasionally
• The smooth natural finish highlights the beech wood grain and is easy to clean.

Materials and Construction

The Wobbel Starter is made from layers of European FSC certified beech wood pressed under high pressure to create its strong, flexible curve.
